On Saturday 6th August, Widden Old Boys decended on The Cotswolds, hoping to find some relief from the heat, and maybe even have some fun. At 9am, after a sufficient breakfast of bacon rolls, we headed out from the Don.
Located at the Cotswold Water Park, Aquaventure features one of the UK's biggest inflatable assault courses. On the calm South Cerney lakes, several of our senior players attempted to beat this assault course, with varying levels of success. While some were busy mastering the obstacles, others struggled getting out of the water, but with teamwork, and a good sense of humour, everyone was able to enjoy themselves!
After celebrating George Trigg's Birthday the 'Widden-Way' with a lakeside beer, an afternoon of enjoying the weather at Widden followed, with plenty of cider and aftersun waiting!
